Solar eclipse
Hello classmates, how are you?
Today i will talk about the solar eclipse, i have noticed that there are many people waiting for this event, but i have aked myself, what is a solar eclipse? and what are the precautions to see a solar eclipse? Well i tell you that i took the time to find out and i can tell you a Little about this astronomical event. A total solar eclipse like the one that will be appreciated this Tuesday, July 2nd occurs when the moon completely covers the sun, projecting a shadow on the surface of our planet, the eclipse can be seen in a total way for the observers located on earth that are within the cone of lunar shadow called “umbra”, but from what sectors of Chile can this eclipse be seen? This phenomenon can be seen in Chile from the Domeyko Mountain range to the Coquimbo región varying its intensity in certain áreas. However other countries in the southern cone will also see the eclipse between them: Argentina and Uruguay. Finally, what precautions should you take to watch an eclipse? experts recommend not look directly at the sun without appropiate lenses, these must be certified and with protection filters, another recommendation is to alternate vision times to avoid future damage to our retina.
I hope this information is useful.
Regards, bye.
